TPM Overview 
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Total Profit Maintenance as it has come to be known nowadays is a maintenance program which involves concept for maintaining plants and equipment. The goal of the TPM program is to significantly increase production while, at the same time, increasing employee morale and job satisfaction ;Thus focusing on improving the bottom line(Profit margins) of an organization with Total Employee Involvement (TEI) from the Chairman to the operator Level.


TPM brings maintenance into focus as a necessary and vitally important part of the business.It is basically maximizing the utility of the Capital Assets of the company. Since 1950 s Maintenance has been a part of a plant but only in last 2 decades or so companies have adopted TPM in its true spirit .
TPM helps to re structure the corporate culture through Improvement of Human Resources and Plant Equipment.
