Born in 1942, Mr. K. B. Rao is B. Sc. in Physics and B. E. in Mechanical Engineering with a rich and varied experience of 38 years in an leading automobile industry out of which he had spent last 10years in Quality Management Systems and from last one year he is working with TQMI as a counsellor.

He has initiated and taken the auto major through ISO 9002 and QS 9000 Quality Management Systems. He has been the Management Representative for both the implementation and certifications. He has also helped and coordinated the certification of other divisions for ISO 9002 and ISO 9001 for their R & D.

He has guided and taken through over 50 small and medium scale industries in their pursuit of ISO 9001:2008 along with the special requirements of their O E M and also guided 12 vendors in upbringing their quality systems level to QS 9000 standards requirement.

His strengths are in training, coordinating, motivating and making things happen on the shop floor. His specialization is in implementation and motivating others to work together for the organizational objective of Quality Journey.

He has interacted with Quality Gurus like Prof. Washio, Phil Crisby, Harrington, Claus Moller, Stephen Covey, Dr. Hans Bajaria, and Dr. Manu Vora.

He is an examiner for IMC RAM KRISHNA BAJAJ NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD (which is same as MALCOM BALDRIDGE AWARD OF USA) and has audited companies like THAI CARBON BLACK near BANGKOK & HDFC in India. He is a Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2008.

He has audited several companies as an external auditor helping and guiding them in their efforts of Quality Management System certification. He is also an approved tutor by IRCA U.K. for conducting Internal & Lead Auditor Training Courses on ISO 9000
