P.A.Rajashekar is a Mechanical Engineer and Six Sigma Green Belt certified by Motorola University. He is currently a counselor at TQMI and a member of the Mahindra & Mahindra – Construction Equipment's Supplier Capability Development Team. Before joining TQMI, he has 14 years of hands on experience in implementation of Total Quality concepts in M/s. Bharat Forge Ltd, Pune and Shardlow India Ltd, Hosur.
As a member of Mahindra & Mahindra Project Team he has made commendable contribution to development of stable and capable processes at suppliers end. His potency lies on resolving Quality issues with various six sigma technique. Presently he is working with Wipro Infra structure, Imperial Auto industries etc..,
Prior to M&M project he was a member of the TATA NANO SCEI team. World class organizations like Autoliv India Ltd, BEHR India Ltd, TATA Yazaki Autocomp Ltd, Brakes India Ltd, Continental Automotive India Pvt. Ltd, Federal Mogul, Gabriel India Ltd, IFB Automotives Ltd, Lucas TVS, Sundaram Clayton, Tenecco, are the few to name to show his caliber on various processes including Forging, Casting, Machining, Moulding etc..,
He has hands on experience in process analysis and f ormulation of “Mistake Proofing systems” capable of preventing potential failures modes of parts. Identifying and improving elements having impact on field quality t hrough “Quality & Reliability Engineering techniques” is his core strength. He has used JD Power customer interface information effectively to build in Quality and Reliability in new products and processes.
He has facilitated clients in developing competency to understand customer requirements and establish productive lines with zero defect quality. He has been instrumental in achieving first time right quality by improving process capability. Identifying bottleneck operations and reengineering process for optimal utilization of human and capital resources are some of his core competencies.
His active participation in use of Lean concepts such as Kaizen, 5S, takt time, cell layout, single piece flow and line balancing has resulted in line efficiency improvement with many of his clients who could meet customer price targets.
In his earlier organizations, he has provided leadership to Advanced Quality Planning Process teams that could develop and obtain customer approval within customer defined time lines for complex engine components like Crankshaft, Connecting Rods, Cam Shafts, Main Bearing caps. Most of these components could achieve “Self Certification” status right at the start of production. He is a certified Lead assessor for ISO-9001 and internal auditor for ISO/TS 16949 and was instrumental in effective implementation of QMS at BHARAT FORGE and SHARDLOW INDIA.
