Mr. Chokkalingam has earned his Bachelor degree in Electronics & Communications engineering from Madras University in 1972. He carries with him over 35 years of industrial experience which includes over 10 years specifically in the field of consultancy.

Mr. Chokkalingam has been with TQMI since 2005 and is currently heading the Six Sigma division at TQMI and is located in Delhi.

Mr. S.P.Chokkalingam is a certified Black Belt trainer from Motorola University. He is also a certified master trainer in one of the Gurus of Quality, Philip Crosby’s Quality systems. He has conducted several training programs and facilitated improvement projects for a number of industry segments in the areas of Process Management, Benchmarking and Total Quality Management, Statistical Quality control, and Six Sigma.

He has assisted companies like Colt India, Gurgaon; Hitech Gears, Bhiwadi: Phoenix Lamps, Noida; VSNL, Delhi; Max New York Life insurance, Gurgaon; Convergys, Gurgaon; TAFE, Chennai; Voltas and many others in the Six Sigma field while his consultancy services in the field of Crosby Method have been utilized by many clients including Haldia Petro chemicals, Haldia; Sono Koya Steering Systems, Gurgaon ;Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd, Faridabad etc.

Some of his more significant assignments include:

• Training and facilitating in setting up the processes for a large Indian telecom group with multiple circles.
• Training and certifying more than 100 trainers in Philip Crosby’s Quality System in different organizations and helping these trainers in facilitating large number of improvements projects and certifying more than 1000 persons.
• Facilitating breakthrough improvement projects using six sigma methodology with an automobile component manufacturer including achieving sustained zero defects in one of the projects

He has facilitated Improvement projects using six sigma not only in manufacturing industry but in Software development industry as well. Mr. Chokkalingam worked as Quality management consultant at Institute of Quality Ltd (IQL) for 10 years prior to joining TQMI. Before IQL, he worked in middle and senior management positions in the areas of Quality and Production Operations with companies like Philips (India), HCL and AKG Acoustics India Ltd. He started his career in 1972 with Indian Space Reaserch Organization (ISRO). He enjoys a rare & unique feat of having worked for the first Indian satellite; Aryabhatta, second satellite; Bhaskara and the first Indian experimental communication satellite; Apple in his professional career.
