Ashok Bapat is graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Bombay (1979) & M.M.S. from Symbiosis, Pune University (1984).

Ashok is an approved trainer for Six Sigma (Black Belt & Green Belt) & Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) courses conducted by TQMI on behalf of Motorola University . He is the faculty for open & in-house Six Sigma & Lean Six Sigma programs conducted by TQMI in the Western region. He has also facilitated in implementation of more than 40 Six Sigma Projects. His Six Sigma clients include Atlas Copco, Defiance Textiles, Diebold, Tata International, Indian Hotels & Max New York Insurance.

Prior to working with TQMI, Ashok had a long innings with SKF India Limited. There, he had an extensive exposure to manufacturing, quality assurance and marketing & sales. In between, Ashok also ran his own show as consultant under ‘Ace Quality Management Consultants'.

Ashok has been a lead auditor for ISO 9001 & ISO 14001. He is registered ‘QMS 2000' auditor with IRCA , UK . He has been on the panel of auditors of LRQA, KPMG & Intertek.

Ashok has received training on daily activity management by Komatsu Career Creations, Japan .
