is an important asset of value to an organization

exists in many forms – physical and logical,
written, printed, stored/recorded, transmitted,
audio/visual.
- Information
which is created, shared, transmitted, stored should
always be appropriately protected

security is achieved by implementing a suitable set
of controls, which will include/cover policies, practices,
procedures, organizational structures and software and
hardware functions. These controls need to be established
to ensure that the specific security objectives of the
organization are met. This way information and I S assets
can be comprehensively and appropriately protected.
