Purpose & Outcome

To identify customer requirements and then to design, develop and produce a new product or improve on existing product in half the normal time, in order to survive in the rapidly changing time.

By the end of the course, participants would be able to

  • develop QFD charts-integrate customer requirements into design parts and process requirements.
  • learn to communicate across functions.-use of QFD in Product / Process Design.

Process

Through presentation, workshop and case studies, participants would be provided

  • an overview on the use of Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as an approach to Total Quality Management.
  • inputs on the use of QFD for Technology Deployment, Reliability Deployment and Cost Deployment.
  • inputs on how to use QFD for customer need identification, competitor strengths, design characteristics, quality charts, parts deployment and process characteristics.
  • an opportunity to work in team environment for cross function communication. Schedule : 0900 to 1800 hrs. (Both days)
