Purpose & Outcome
The purpose is to understand the statistical techniques to show how to reduce variability in process by
application of statistical tools & techniques and also to show how to improve consistency of products &
process.
The outcome of this course will be to understand the importance of application of statistical techniques,
apply these techniques in process(es), understand the control charts & take corrective actions, evaluate
machine / process capability and also use of statistical techniques for other functions.
Process
Through presentation & interactive sessions participants would be able to give an overview of clause
4.2 of ISO 9001:94 / QS 9000, this will given an overview of statistical techniques as a means of
minimizing the variability.
