Mr. Sunil Kapoor is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University
(1977). He has undergone one year special training in SQC & OR from Indian
Statistical Institute, Delhi (1978), and is a qualified Black Belt for Six Sigma
from Multiface Inc., USA (2001) and qualified Master Black Belt from TQMI
– Bluefire Partners Inc., USA (2002). He is also a qualified Trainer for
Motorola University Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt & Design for Six
Sigma (DFSS) trainings and also for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black
Belt. He is trained in Lean Manufacturing by Komatsu Career Creations, Japan.
He can speak languages viz. English, Hindi & Urdu and can write English and
Hindi languages.
Sunil joined TQM International Pvt. Ltd., in January 1997 and is presently
working as Vice President & Principal Counsellor. Sunil for the last eight
years has been involved in development of Six Sigma technology for TQMI.
He is/has been the leader/member of TQMI team for Six Sigma
implementation with clients like Moser Baer, GTL Ltd., ABN Amro Bank,
Indian Oil Corporation., Whirlpool, Orient Fans, Siemens, Flint, DCM
Shriram, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Udyog, JCB, , Caparo Maruti,
Techbooks, Vodafone, Dubai World, Emirates Bank, BankMuscat, First Gulf
Bank, Dubai Cables etc. He is also a member of many other TQMI Six Sigma
Implementation Teams working with various other clients. Sunil has
facilitated the implementation of more than 400 Six Sigma Projects leading to
product and process improvement.
Sunil has guided/guiding various organizations such as Emirate Refinery,
Sharjah and DCM Shriram on 5 S and Daily Work Management. Apart from
this, Sunil has also been facilitating the Problem Solving Process at SRF,
RICOH and Federal Mogul at their various Units in India to build people
capability.
He started his career with BHEL (1977‐1996) with responsibilities of carrying
out quality improvement projects and development & assessment of Quality
Systems. As Deputy General Manager of Corporate Quality Assurance, he
guided BHEL divisions to get certified to ISO 9000 and later move towards
EFQM Model of Business Excellence.
He has guided several companies, in different aspects of quality management,
including General Motors, Daewoo Motors, Honda Siel, Whirlpool,
Honeywell, Denso, SKF Bearings, Antifriction Bearings, SWIL, Escorts
Tractor, Yamaha Motors, Shriram Pistons, and Hotel Radisson etc. in India.
He has also been actively associated with quality initiatives of few large
companies overseas, including Awal Gulf, Bahrain; SKF Bearings‐Malaysia;
Oman Textiles, Muscat; Emirates Refining Company, Sharjah.
Sunil is also a qualified EFQM assessor & registered Lead Auditor for ISO
9001‐2008 Quality System with IRCA, UK. He has presented papers pertaining
to practical application of Quality Management principles at National and
International forums. He is recipient of Bapu Seetharam Gold Medal Award
for his contribution to the industry in the field of Quality Management. |
