How Can Lean Six Sigma Help You To Accomplish Goals?

Can you achieve success if you are trying to repeatedly do the same things again and again that you know are not turning out to bring the required results? Obviously not! This is what happens when you are trying to accomplish a goal without having a designed plan in hand. Nothing can be a success without having a perfect plan to work upon. Lean Six Sigma is a framework that helps businesses to achieve results by utilizing some proven tactics that improve efficiency while removing wastes. The Lean Six Sigma concepts mentioned below, when followed, can surely bring improvements to processes and results in your workplace. Additionally, you can also undergo training and attain a professional Lean Six Sigma certification in India under the guidance of experts like TQMI, who has been helping companies realize their hidden efficiencies since almost the past two decades.

Define what you want to achieve

Saying that you want to achieve results and better outcomes is just not enough. You need to be specific about what exactly you want to achieve. What do you want to improve upon? Are you on the lookout for better sales, reducing errors, improving on your staff quality, or anything else? The more specific you are about your goal, the better positioned you will be to make a plan and work towards achieving it.

Distinguish the factors that are proving to be useful or negative

You must make sure to identify all those factors that affect your results. Make a list of all the factors, and then distinguish between the useful ones and those that are proving to be negative. You need to focus on the useful ones, while eliminating the unneeded ones. Experiment with different key factors in a controlled environment, and keep measuring the results. Soon, you will know the factors that you need to work upon for improved results.

Elaborate on the positive factors

Now, you have the list of factors you need to focus upon. Elaborate on all those points and see how you can work upon to utilize them to the best. Remember that measuring is a great way to gain the knowledge you need to accomplish your goals. Measure and evaluate your factors in depth. There are various ways to reach a goal using a single factor. Analyze which method you would like to choose and start working towards it.

Eliminate waste

This is the most important aspect of Lean six Sigma. The most useful methodology of Lean to eliminate waste and speed up processes is the 5S, which comprises of sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining. Sorting is to get rid of all the useless elements in your processes and workplace that provide for distraction. Setting in order involves making place and rearranging for all that is left with each element labeled distinctly. Shining involves systematic cleaning out the space regularly so that you can clearly see when you require a refill. Standardizing is the process that focuses on keeping back the things in their own space after each use. And finally, sustaining is doing a thorough review on a regular basis.

So form now onwards, apply these Lean Six Sigma concepts into the different aspects in your workplace, and see how you can considerably improve the probability of accomplishing your goals.
