How Can Lean Six Sigma Be Individually And Organizationally Beneficial?

First introduced by Motorola in 1986, Six Sigma has today become one of the most looked after quality within organizations. With a mission of improving quality of processes by identifying and eliminating the cause of errors, it uses a set of quality management principles for the same. The experts who are Six Sigma certified are ranked into different levels based on their knowledge, skills, and expertise of Six Sigma. These levels are White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt. These experts use any of the two Six Sigma procedures – DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) for improving on a current process, or DMADV (define, measure, analyze, design, verify) for creating a new process. With most these methodologies, organizations experience a defect-free performance. Today, Six Sigma has combined with the Lean technology of effectively eliminating waste to become Lean Six Sigma that eliminates eight types of wastes – defects, overproduction, inventory, transportation, waiting, motion, non-utilized talent, and extra-processing. Being certified with a professional Lean Six Sigma certification in India today from experts like TQMI can benefit not only your personal professional growth, but also the growth of your organization as a whole. Let us look at both these aspects of benefits in detail.

Personal professional growth

Just like those with a college degree are more preferred by employers as compared to those without such certifications, even Lean Six Sigma certified professionals are preferred as compared to those who are not certified. Employees and recruiting managers know that earning a Lean Six Sigma certificate is not easy, which is why owning one can make you stand out from the crowd. It will also showcase your skill to improve the processes within the company you work. This makes you earn the position of becoming a successful team member in the project management team. You will gain immense success in the fields of strategic planning, time management, and employee motivation; thus making you a more valuable employee in the workplace, leading to increased salary and better opportunities for promotions. This means that a Lean Six Sigma certification in India can help position yourself as the leader of the pack in your organization. And, as a leader, you will play an active role in the important projects of your company; and you will be responsible for evaluating and clarifying processes that can improve your company’s efficiency.

Organizational growth

Being Lean Six Sigma certified means that you have all the knowledge of proper application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Using these principles, you will eliminate wastes and improve processes, thus bringing a better product, leading to customer satisfaction. With more and more practice and implementation, you will steadily gain customer loyalty. And, the happier and more loyal customers are, the better your business’ reputation, which means more business and more profits. In this way, a Lean Six Sigma certificate can be fruitful for not only an individual, but for the entire company too!
