How To Successfully Implement Lean Six Sigma?

With every organization having its own unique processes, working, nature, and type, implementation of Lean Six Sigma also varies in order to achieve success. Only implementing Lean Six Sigma is not enough, implementing it in the right way is important. There are many organizations that have applied this process, but not all of them have achieved success. If you don't want to be one who encounters failure, you must opt for Lean Six Sigma certification in India, and make sure you implement Lean Six Sigma in the right way. Below mentioned are some things you must keep in mind to achieve a successful implementation.

Lean and Six Sigma must be coordinated

Obviously, when we say Lean Six Sigma, we mean both Lean and Six Sigma; therefore this point goes without saying, but it can’t be left out because it is the most important element. Because Lean reduces time wastage in processes, and Six Sigma reduces process variation, both elements when combined together can bring perfection in processes with minimal time wastage.

Every department must be involved with Lean Six Sigma

It is important that every department and manager is involved with the Lean Six Sigma process within the organization. And for this, it is also important that the process is seen as one that adds value and helps in achieving goals. Additionally, it is equally imperative that managers of every department and level are involved in the start-up of the Lean Six Sigma project so that they feel that they can have their say about selecting projects, and prioritizing and monitoring them.

Lean Six Sigma must support organizational goals

You must identify the goals and objectives of your organization, and see to it that the implementation of Lean Six Sigma does not hinder with them, but in fact supports them. It could be introducing a new product/service, attracting new customers, retaining existing customers, or anything else, but Lean Six Sigma should abide by those goals and support them.

The focus must be more on quality and less on quantity

It is very natural for organizations to want maximum number of measurable and material results within only the first few months of Lean implementation, because of which they push through maximum number of Lean Six Sigma projects possible. However, too much of forcefulness will slow down the process and increase its runtime. Therefore, it is vital that the amount of work demanded from Black Belt is reduced, and only a few important projects are run, so that processes can be accelerated.

Last but not the least, remember that Six Sigma requires a number of technical skills to be adopted like processing, data analyzing, and management skills. Therefore, it is advised that the Black Belt roles are given to people with strong management skills to achieve quick results and positive changes within the organization. So, you can have your manager and other professionals with perfect management skills to go in for a professional Six Sigma certification in India from experts like TQMI.
